when is a monster , not a monster?

a monster isn't a monster
when he goes home to his mother,
and sleeps in her lap, for no child
can be a monster for their mothers.

a monster isn't monster
when he holds the hand of his beloved,
when he caresses their cheek, or when
he looks in their eyes with all the love
he is capable of.

a monster isn't monster
when he holds his newborn
in his arms for the first time
and when he smiles at his baby.

a monster isn't a monster
when he is looked past his features
when more than his ghastly persona,
his injured heart is looked upon.

hey lovely readers! happpy national poetry writing month. I know i have been much inconsistent lately and still many of you have been showering me with all the love, i’m much grateful for that. now, let me tell you what’s on my mind currently, well as you might know its the month of april and ever since i got aware about “napowrimo” , this has been my favourite month of the year hands down. And here it is, so i am going to post a poem daily to different prompts from internet, and i hope you will show your honest engagement with my poems. Now, For those who like my musings/proses , articles or stories more, i promise I have some crazy good ideas for them too, but that will be done after my uni exams. Till then happy national poetry writing month lovelies. And do tell me what you feel about my poems in comments, waiting impatiently 😉
